Quarterly News Briefs
1st and 2nd Quarter 2010 - Continued Improvements to Ambulance
Billing and CAD
JefBar has continued to improve its billing software to make
it even faster and easier to get paid. Thanks to the
feedback provided by our existing customers who have upgraded to
the new billing products, and our new customers, JefBar
continues to make the product even better than its initial
release. Some of the many new features we added include individual ticket
audits to quickly check that a ticket has everything it needs to
be billed; the ability to view any and all documents or ECS
records produced for a ticket with a simple click of a button;
Improved collection tools and many other little but significant
improvements. We added a large number of small features
that make life easier for the billers to get their jobs done,
all based on the JefBar customer's feedback. JefBar's technology
allows us to incorporate any and all suggested improvements
rapidly and make them available to all users. If you
are tired of your software company not making the small changes
to make your life easier, than JefBar is the software and
company for you.
But we
are not stopping there. We have many new features
planned for the next release of Ambulance Billing and we are
starting a complete rewrite of our CAD to allow the same
ability to quickly change and add features our customers are
asking for. While JefBar's CAD is seen as one of the
best products on the market today and our CAD customers are
more than happy with its functions and performance, we want
more for our customers. Therefore, we continue to improve
our entire suite of products.

Technology Path
JefBar is committed to taking
advantage of the benefits new technology provides to ensure
our customers have the best tools for their industry. We continue
to evaluate technology developments to incorporate them with
our products to create best of breed solutions. Our software
is created to run efficiently on as little as one PC, or have
a few users on one server, or to provide for complete N-Tier
100% redundant technology. JefBar software is created
and written to provide for 100s of users to access one
to many redundant business application servers and those
servers to access a cluster of Database servers. All can be
running in an auto failover environment. In simple terms our
software allows an easy installation for the smallest of users
and yet has the power to run a large number of users in a full
scale multi-tiered technology set up.
JefBar utilizes
the latest in Windows development technologies to rapidly build
quality software products. Our standards based development
practices and robust core infrastructure enable us to quickly
bring new functionality to market without sacrificing code
stability or requiring lengthy upgrade procedures. This flexible
infrastructure allows for multiple deployment options so our
customers can configure the system for the right balance of
performance, security, and stability.
The technical details
of our infrastructure and plans are listed below. Amongst the
technical complexities is a simple goal – to utilize
the best available in technology to make software development
fast and flexible and create powerful solutions for our customers.
Technical Details:
JefBar Software Service
will build all applications on a MS Windows platform with a
foundation of the .NET 3.5 platform in C#, including Windows
Communication Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation,
and Windows Workflow components. A CSLA .NET Framework will
be utilized in the Business Object layer to provide flexible
n-tier architecture, authorization, and validation – all
while supporting WCF, workflow, ASP.NET, WPF, and web services
interfaces. On top of the base CSLA .NET Framework, JefBar
is actively developing our own framework extensions, standards,
and best practices to ensure consistently high quality code
and products. Deployment and update procedure enhancements
will make installations and upgrades as quick as possible and
ensure stability.
Our primary database platform will be MS
SQL Server 2008. Support for Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and
any other OLEDB or ODBC compliant database will be possible,
as the software architecture will be constructed in a database
independent manner, allowing simple configuration to determine
connectivity to the customer’s choice of RDBMS.

updated as the vehicle is enroute, on-scene, departs scene,
